A primary suite should feel like a retreat, comfortable, beautiful, and designed specifically for the people who use it. This bedroom received a complete makeover, transforming it from a collection of pieces into a cohesive, thoughtfully designed space where every detail works together.

The new color palette begins with Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray. The walls and ceiling were finished in 100% eggshell, while the trim received a 100% satin finish. Keeping the color consistent throughout the room creates a soft, enveloping feel, while the subtle difference in sheen adds dimension and definition.

We also created a new seating area designed for both clients to enjoy. Instead of simply filling an empty corner, the seating was planned as a functional extension of the bedroom a place to sit, relax, read, or enjoy a quiet moment together.

One of the most noticeable changes is the new window drapery. Drapery has the ability to completely change the feeling of a bedroom, and in this space, it adds softness, warmth, and a finished quality. Framing the windows also helps draw the eye upward and makes the room feel more intentional. Take a closer look at the next two photos to see the difference the addition of drapery makes.

The furniture was another important part of the transformation. Rather than choosing a matching bedroom set, we selected pieces that coordinate with one another through complementary finishes, shapes, and proportions. The result feels collected rather than overly coordinated, giving the room a more sophisticated and layered appearance.

For this client, this was the first time every piece in the room was intentionally selected to work together. From the furniture and textiles to the drapery and finishes, each element contributes to the overall design rather than simply occupying space.

But what did the space look like before?

The end result is a primary suite that feels cohesive, comfortable, and distinctly personal. Sometimes a true room transformation isn't about one dramatic feature, it's about making sure every choice works together to create a space that feels complete.
