Last week Rooms By Leah had the honor of volunteering with the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation event, Taste, assisting with logistics, decor, and set up of the annual silent auction.

The theme was "Hidden Gems" so when it came to decor think black table cloths with pops of jewel tones. Everything and everyone seemed to sparkle at the event.

But the real hidden gems were the scholars, these students are recent PISD graduates that have shown resilience and have the drive to build a brighter future through education. When awarded a Hendrick Scholarship the students not only receive financial access to higher education, but also mentoring, workshops, and career guidance to make sure they are the best version of themselves.

Taste is the main fundraiser for the scholarships and we had the honor of speaking with recipients and hearing their stories and goals for the future. It was an amazing experience!

As the event unfolded, all of the Hendrick staff and volunteers were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and generosity from attendees, all gathered to champion the cause of education and opportunity.
