A fresh twist on color, a nod to the home’s history, and a dash of bold personality, this kitchen proves that great design is all about balance and a little bit of bravery.
What began as a space with good bones and beautiful finishes became a vibrant, youthful, and cohesive hub of the home through intentional design choices, bold patterns, and a thoughtful mix of old and new.

One of our goals for this kitchen was to expand the space without erasing its charm. By keeping the original backsplash and cabinet color, we preserved the soft, elegant foundation the homeowners loved.
The round Taracea table anchors the space with its sculptural presence and natural beauty. Each Taracea piece is truly one of a kind, and this table brings an artisanal warmth that complements the surrounding architecture.

To bring in more function and flow, we introduced a brand-new island while letting the pre-existing perimeter counters remain. This mix created a layered look, one that has a curated feel. The new island adds generous prep space, seating, and visual interest, while the original counters and cabinetry keep the room grounded and familiar.

The bold, youthful pattern chosen for the kitchen chairs. It’s lively, unexpected, and instantly energizes the room. Every hue finds its echo somewhere in the home, soft blues in the cabinetry, warm tones from the floors and beams, and subtle pops that tie into adjoining spaces.
The welt cord on the kitchen chairs coordinates perfectly with the dining room chairs, creating a subtle but sophisticated thread of continuity, proof that harmony lives in the details. Fun, youthful, and beautifully cohesive, it radiates personality without overwhelming the space. From here, the rest of the home gracefully follows their lead.
We intentionally chose pieces that celebrates color in a way that feels new, not noisy. It’s playful but polished, like the home itself. By weaving the home’s signature colors throughout, the kitchen becomes both a standout space and a beautifully integrated part of the overall design story.
