We have finally thawed from our interesting weather last week. We are back with a room transformation!

Our first goal was to brighten this room! The overhead light was not doing the room any favors, so we swapped it for a piece that offered more light. And this light has a little for flair than the usual overhead light. Next was the carpet and the paint, lighter colors for both of these components are essential for giving a room that extra umph.

This particular bedroom has interesting wall and ceiling cuts, so long patterned curtains help elongate the room and show off the height that it does have. We love mixing colors, patterns, and textures, but the bedding, bed frame, and curtains compliment each other, rather than clash.

Everyone needs a good bedside table and lamp! A drawer and shelf to keep the essentials is a must! Topped off with a lamp to add extra light or for late night reading!
