Remodeling a Dream

Retiring in style often means more than just finding the perfect location; it’s about crafting a space that reflects a new chapter in life. For one of our recent clients, that new beginning took shape in the beautiful landscapes of North Carolina. After a long and fulfilling career, our client purchased a new home, seeking a fresh start in a place known for its serene beauty and southern charm.

The challenge? We needed to remodel and furnish the entire home long-distance, and as if that wasn’t enough, we completed the installation during the midst of a hurricane.

This remodel showcases a home that is classic and timeless. Soft, neutral tones were used to create a calming atmosphere, while pops of color and texture added depth and interest.

The entryway is the first impression of any home, and for this project, we wanted to create a space that felt inviting. A statement chandelier hangs above, offering a warm, welcoming glow. Its classic design with a modern twist serves as a focal point, drawing the eye upward and adding an element of grandeur to the space.

The living room is the heart of the home—a place to relax, entertain, and spend time with loved ones. The centerpiece of the living room is a plush, sofa in a soft, neutral fabric. This piece was chosen for its comfort and versatility, offering plenty of seating for guests while maintaining a streamlined, elegant look. A pair of armchairs in a complementary tone flank the sofa, adding balance and symmetry to the room.

One of the main changes in this are was removing the wall that separated the rooms in this space. Opening it up did so much for this space allowing natural light to flow into the whole home.

A soothing palette of soft blues, grays, and creams was chosen to create a calm and inviting atmosphere. The result is a living room that feels both elegant and livable—a perfect spot for quiet evenings or lively gatherings with friends and family.

One of the standout features of this North Carolina home is the sunroom, a bright and airy space surrounded by windows allowing natural light to flood the space that offer stunning views of the outdoors. This peaceful sanctuary where the client can unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures of retirement, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

This project was a true testament to the power of teamwork and dedication. From the contractors to the local delivery crews who braved the elements, everyone played a crucial role in bringing this vision to life.
