When you start a home renovation project you think, yes, I can definitely handle this! Then you see the kitchen island ripped out and there is dust covering every surface and your thoughts go to, what did I get myself into? Those once confident thoughts of this is going to be great, turns into what did I get myself into? The hard part is losing a part of your home for the length of the remodel, and it seems that you need that room more than you ever thought possible and it seems like you'll never see the end.
It has been a year since this MAJOR renovation to remove an overflowing amount of matching light wood walls and floor. Let me tell you it was a mess. But I am going to let you in on a little secret, it was totally worth it.
And this it just 2 rooms, and so much more was transformed. These before pictures are from my house a year ago, and the afters are what it looks like now. It is crazy how I wanted to throw in the towel mid renovation, because losing important rooms in my new home was driving me up the newly dry-walled wall. Seeing the transformed space with decor and aa major clean up, the finished project blew me away. This is what I wanted, this is the space I envisioned, and it was so worth it.
