Continuing the conversation from last week on our reconstruction after flood damage, we are looking at how an unfortunate situation can be made better. The new flooring used in the kitchen and living room from last week are also featured throughout the rest of the home with a few extras.
Take a look at the before and after photos below. Notice anything missing? The arches! There are now crips corners through the house where arches used to be. This updates the look and feel of each room. Also the new banisters and iron work on the staircase brings a modern feel to the space.
This new flooring is just beautiful! It complements the fresh coat of paint and the reworking of the corner fireplace in this room. We can't wait to see the finished and furnished room!
The dining room turned a corner as well. Notice the curved wall with s shelf and overhead light for displaying art. It really made the room not seem as large and great for family gatherings. So it was taken out and the room was given a new feel.
So why remove the angle in the dining room? Well by doing this we were able to create a useful addition to the kitchen on the other side of the wall! This large pantry has been added with the extra space.
