Neutrals are the unsung heroes of great design. They offer endless flexibility and allow a room to evolve with your style. By keeping the main elements like walls, furniture, and flooring neutral, you create a blank canvas that can easily adapt through changing seasons or trends.

Want to lean into coastal charm in summer? Add airy blues and woven textures. Feeling cozier in the fall? Bring in warm rusts, deep greens, and chunky knits. Because the base remains timeless, your look can shift effortlessly without a complete redesign.

In our most recent project our client wanted to enhance the accent color blue in the living room. Even the smallest details play a role. We layered in shades of blue through throw pillows and accents on the shelves which bring a touch of life and contrast to the warm neutrals.

As designers, one of our goals is to create timeless, flexible spaces that can evolve with our clients. That’s why we often start with a neutral foundation, especially when it comes to furniture.

Neutral pieces act as a canvas. They bring calm and cohesion to a room, but more importantly, they give us the freedom to switch up accents anytime our clients want a refresh. Whether it’s a bold new rug, seasonal throw pillows, or a trending art piece, these elements can be swapped in and out without having to redesign the entire space.

It’s the perfect blend of function and style: your clients get longevity from their investment pieces, and you get to keep their space feeling fresh and current.

This space is proof that a pop of color doesn’t have to shout to make an impact—it just needs to be thoughtfully placed and beautifully balanced.
