Last weekend the crew put some finishing touches on our latest project, which you can read about in full detail in a few weeks. This project was weeks in the making waiting for all of the pieces to come together, and the last thing to be done was to hang the art work. Today is going to be a bit of behind the scenes day! We are going to show you the process we go through to decide what piece should go where.

This office underwent a MAJOR transformation and had 2 major hallways that we were working with. We started with freshly painted walls and did a few laps to check out the wall space that was available, keeping in mind the pieces we had purchased to hang.

When deciding what pieces work on each of the walls, we lay it all out, and develop a story for the space. It is all about trial and error. When working in this office we had something we really wanted to hang, but couldn't quite find the right place for it. We moved it multiple times and tried a few variations before we found the perfect spot!

Stand at one end of the hall or a corner of the space to get the best overall view

and make sure the is a variety of colors, shapes, and textures. Sometime you will encounter a few hiccups (smoke detectors) that cause you to make a last minute switches.

From there the piece is measured to be centered on the chosen wall. Make sure you have a tape measure and pencil handy! We use picture hangers or monkey hooks depending on the weight of the artwork. Take a step back, double check with a level, then you are ready to move on to the next wall!

We hate to keep you hanging but we want to save the final product for the big reveal. Check back next week to see it all!
