In case you were not aware, the first day of autumn is September 22, so that means it is time for fall decorations!! While it doesn't feel like fall, that doesn't mean you can't break out pumpkins, gourds, and scarecrows. I know it is still in the upper 90s here in Texas, but you don't have to wait for that first brisk day in very late October to bring fall to your home.

But first things first, I am telling you right now, as a friend, please leave that outdated wreath in the attic. Let me be the first to say, wreaths are great! Hand made ones are even better! But this year, I want you to treat yourself to something a little more elegant. Swap your wreath for swag. Don't be alarmed, I am not using this in the same context as "kids these days" but as an updated version of the wreath. These can be used on your front door or even as decorations inside your house. Bring the fall colors to life and I don't mean when you see the leaves in your front yard change for a split second. My friends at The Botanical Mix, can transform your entry way to a tasteful explosion of fall colors, or a soft arrangement with white pumpkins and greenery. These beautiful pieces also make great centerpieces fit for a Thanksgiving Feast.
