Last week we took a closer look at the living room of our latest project and this week, we are moving on to the dining room! As a refresh, take a look at the before and after of this magical front room.
Before After
Let's talk about the elephant in the new room, and by elephant we mean light fixture. Swapping a layered piece for a longer fixture helped to not cut the room in half. Opening up the space above the table allows the room to feel bigger. And did we mention this light fixture is gorgeous? Keep scrolling to see a close up.
The darker color in the alcoves next to the window balances the bright sunlight from the window. It is all about balance!

A soft gray wall and lighter patterned rug paired with the darker wood floors and table balances the room to keep it from too light. As you can see from the before and after the table is the same, and choosing a solid and lighter colored chair keeps the flow of the room. When working with clients if they are partial to a piece we want to make sure it stays. If you love something you don't have to let it go. Other changes can bring it back to life!

The details of this room are something special! The crystals on the light fixture, paired with the pops of green found on the table and the buffet are perfect.

We loved how this room turned out! Can't wait to show off the bathroom next week!
